Description

Victorian elegance defines this antique 1900s porcelain lidded sugar bowl and creamer set by Zeh, Scherzer & Co. (Z. S. & Co.) of Bavaria. Molded in striking faceted octagonal silhouettes, the bodies glow with an iridescent luminescent lustre finish in shimmering pearl-white and bluish-purple tones, accentuated by opulent gold gilding along the handles, rims, and finial lid. The sugar bowl measures 6 inches across the handles and 4-1/2 inches tall, while the creamer spans 5-1/4 inches and stands 3-1/4 inches high. Bearing the historic factory backstamp active between 1880 and 1918. A breathtaking centerpiece for antique Bavarian porcelain collections or formal tea displays. Antique condition with some gold accent fade on the handles, but structurally intact.
