Description

Mid-century English transferware history shines in this 1950s Blue Willow lidded sugar bowl and creamer set by Johnson Brothers. Crafted in durable Staffordshire earthenware, each piece is blanketed in deep cobalt blue transfer print illustrating the legendary Chinese "Old Willow" narrative complete with weeping trees, geometric borders, and bridge details. The creamer holds 8 ounces and stands 2-7/8 inches tall, paired with a twin-handled sugar bowl featuring a matching steeple lid. Stamped on the bottom with the authentic "Made in England" backstamp. A magnificent foundational set for blue and white transferware collections, country kitchen displays, or traditional tea services. Pre-owned, clean, intact condition with gentle wear.
