Antique Chinese export wicker sewing basket crafted during the late 19th to early 20th century (circa 1890s�1930s). Hand-woven from natural split willow and cane with a fitted round lid. The lid displays traditional decorative adornments including Chinese brass cash coins, woven ring cord handles, glass beads, and a central tassel. The base features a starburst radial weave supported by a raised foot ring for added stability. The natural dark brown finish showcases authentic aged patina throughout the woven weave. Measures approximately 11 inches in diameter and 3 and 5/8 inches tall. Pre-owned antique condition displaying gentle age-appropriate wear, including minor split fibers and light finish rub, consistent with traditional handcrafting and historical use.
