Description

Crafted during the 1960s to 1970s mid-century era, this vintage strategy chess set features detailed plastic playing pieces styled in a classic medieval motif, presented in cream and tan tones. The set comes with a handcrafted, leather-bound wooden chess board that doubles as a hinged storage box lined with green interior felt. Piece heights range from 1-3/4-inch pawns up to a 3-1/2-inch queen, with all playing pieces fully intact. The folding board measures 12-6/8 inches by 12-6/8 inches by 1-1/8 inches thick when opened flat. Condition details include light vintage wear to the leather-bound exterior, including wrinkling and minor surface spots, while one piece displays a natural mold line across its base without any damage or breakage. Local pickup is available in zip code 98684.
