Dr Goodenoughs Home Cures Herbal Remedies 1982 1st Book

This is a pre-owned vintage copy of the 1982 first printing of Dr. Goodenough's Home Cures and Herbal Remedies, published by Avenel Books and Crown Publishers. Originally based on medical texts from 1904, this substantial 758-page volume serves as a comprehensive look at historical popular medicine, therapeutics, and herbal preparations. The book is richly illustrated with 32 full-color plates featuring botanical studies and human anatomy. The interior pages are in very nice condition, though they exhibit the natural yellowish tone and color aging characteristic of this vintage printing. Please note there is a small pencil mark on the first page. The exterior top and side edges of the page block show some light speckling, known as foxing, while the hardcover itself remains clear. The book is protected by its original decorative dust jacket, which shows minor signs of wear from shelf storage. Despite the minor age marks on the outer edges and the pencil mark, the book remains in a very nice condition overall with crisp internal pages and a sturdy binding.
