This is a pre owned vintage first print edition of Harlem On My Mind Cultural Capital of Black America 1900 1968 published by Random House in 1968. This significant historical volume contains 256 pages of high contrast black and white photography and newspaper archives documenting the cultural evolution of Harlem. The hardcover measures 11 - 1/4 x 8 - 7/8 inches. The condition is pre owned vintage with gentle wear to the cover including some surface spots, but the binding is tight and the interior pages are in very nice shape. This book served as the exhibition catalog for the landmark 1969 Metropolitan Museum of Art show and remains a cornerstone of Black Americana and photographic history.
