Vintage James Sadler Ironstone Charles Dickens Teapot

Beautiful vintage fine earthenware teapot from the Sadler Classic Collection dating to the mid-to-late 20th century. Made in Staffordshire England by James Sadler and Sons this piece features a detailed illustration of a scene from Dickens first novel The Pickwick Papers. The lid is adorned with a portrait of Charles Dickens and the rim is decorated with the title of the book in a classic banner style. This ironstone teapot stands approximately 6 inches tall with the lid and 4 1/8 inches without the lid. It measures 7 1/2 inches from spout to handle and features a sturdy oval base.
