Celebrate mid-century Japanese craftsmanship with this vintage Shingata Kokeshi bride doll. This handcrafted wooden figure is finished in a matte black tone and features hand-painted crane and floral details, which are traditional symbols of marital fidelity and longevity. The doll is adorned with an authentic white fabric Tsunokakushi bridal hood. A clever nodding mechanism is built into the design; the head is detachable, allowing for a gentle, purposeful bobble while remaining securely in place. This preowned vintage piece is clean and in solid condition. Please note there is some light color wear and a small pink mark on the white fabric headdress, as visible in the accompanying photographs. The nodder function is fully operational. This decorative wood toy stands approximately 6.5 inches tall and is sold as is.
