Vintage Japanese lustreware defines this lidded sugar bowl in a hand-painted birds and branches pattern, estimated from the 1930s. Featuring elegant colorful birds on flowering branches set against an iridescent peach and yellow lustre glaze background with two handles and a matching lid, the piece measures around 3-1/2 inches tall plus the lid and 6 inches wide including the handles, bearing a maker mark on the bottom. An excellent decorative collectible display piece and functional table serving accessory. Preowned item, clean, gentle wear to handles' color from normal use.
