Vintage 1950s Japanese export porcelain teacup and saucer set in classic Moriage Dragonware. Features high-relief hand-applied raised slip work of a 3-clawed dragon wrapping around both pieces against a smokey charcoal-grey and airbrushed cobalt blue backdrop. The teacup features a translucent Geisha lithophane portrait molded into the bottom that reveals itself when held up to light. The cup stands 2-1/4 inches tall and the matching saucer measures 5-1/2 inches across. Pre-owned vintage condition showing light, age-appropriate wear to the handle finish.
