Description

Cobalt blue detail brings the historic scene of The Pilgrim Fathers to life on this 10 inch ironstone commemorative plate. Produced by Weatherby Hanley Falcon Ware in Staffordshire, England, during the mid-20th century, this piece features a detailed illustration of the Pilgrims at their Thanksgiving table with the Mayflower ship in the background. The rim is elegantly decorated with nine distinct family crests, and the reverse side lists the names of the Pilgrim Fathers.

This plate serves as a stunning kitchen accessory or a focal point for a wall display, representing a unique slice of history imported exclusively for the John Alden Gift Shop in Plymouth, Massachusetts. It remains in very nice ironstone condition and is ready for a new home. Please ask any questions before the purchase as the item is sold as is.

Double stamped on the back with WEATHERBY HANLEY, ENGLAND, ROYAL FALCON WARE below the flag, and Staffordshire England mark. Design and Imported exclusively for John Alden Gift shop. Plymouth, Mass.
