This unique vintage Japanese compact and lipstick case dates back to the mid-century era, likely between 1955 and 1965. Designed in an unusual hand fan shape, it is made of durable red and black hard plastic with a high-gloss finish. The lid features ornate gold and white hand fan and floral decor typical of 1960s Japanese export vanity items. The interior includes a built-in mirror. This collectible box measures 5-7/8" long and 3-7/8" across the compact storage area. This is a pre-owned vintage item in nice condition and is a perfect example of mid-century novelty vanity design.
