This is a set of two vintage Lady Clare placemats from England. Lady and the Unicorn, The Lion and the Unicorn are symbols of the United Kingdom. They are, properly speaking, heraldic supporters appearing in the full royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom. The lion stands for England and the unicorn for Scotland. Structure intact but has scrapes, signs of use. This placemat have some torn atea as in picturs. The other place mat shows fighting knights and presents very well. Grate placement mats or furniture protection mats. Versatile use great vintage decoration. Each place mat measure 9-3/8" by 7-7/8".
